| Chicago Area Mtnbikers | Flyer Dec 31, 2001 9:45 AM | | There seem to be a few of us from the Chicago area. How about getting together for a ride? Any interest and area to go would be great. I am over near Ohare (actually right across the street from the Des Plaines River Trail, south section). |
| checking in ... | Nick Dec 31, 2001 10:11 AM | | We ride primarily at Palos so if you're interested in driving down anytime just shoot me an email and we can hook up. The conditions were PRIMO at Palos on Saturday, aside from the high of 18 degrees.
I haven't been up to the Des Plaines River trail all year, I'd like to get up there again.

We probably ought to have everyone access their own skills...Palos, at least some of it, involves a few obstacles and I don't want anyone sitting it out because they aren't comfortable with it. Personally I think Palos is the best around Chicago but opinions vary I am sure. |
| checking out! | Matt S Dec 31, 2001 11:38 AM | | Nick,
I'll consider riding with you again, but I can't carry you like I did Saturday. Hey...you riding tomm? |
| bastard .. | Nick Dec 31, 2001 12:53 PM | | Yea, I'm riding tomorrow for sure. But who's Tomm ?!? (I always suspected that about you)
Still deciding on tonight's plan of action; so far it's dinner with friends or bar party with drunken college girls. Tough decision.
Regardless, I'm in for tomorrow. Try and go easy on the booze tonight and show up. Email to follow. |
| Doh! | Steve-O Dec 31, 2001 10:46 AM | | Just rode this morning! Same trails along the Des Plaines as I posted about several days ago. This morning it was 8F when I headed out... No mud to deal with!! Let me know when you guys are ready to ride!
Note - Air forks and shocks just aren't working in this weather... |
| Doh! | Flyer Dec 31, 2001 1:02 PM | | Where are you going in to the north section at? |
