| AK sunrise pic | AK Ken Dec 31, 2001 12:54 PM | | Hey, went back to bed after my early morning cruise of this board, and woke up to THIS out the window. Time was 10:40 am, just getting good and light.
Clare snapped this through the (dirty) upstairs window, but I'm not getting out on the roof to get a better one.

| Beautiful!!! | kristian Dec 31, 2001 1:17 PM | | Well, we're past the 21st of December so you've made it over the hump! Before long you'll have more light than you know what to do with! |

| No, but I know a guy from Arkansas | AK Ken Dec 31, 2001 1:41 PM | | He says Arkansas is AR, Alabama is AL, so Alaska has to be AK. You'd be amazed at how many people REALLY think AK is Arkansas. Before Al Gore invented the internet we used to shop via the phone a lot, and most of the people taking our orders thought AK meant Arkansas. Out of sight, out of mind, I guess.
Just watch the weather some night on TV. Alaska is down by Hawaii, right off the coast of California. Funny how they're so close together but have such divergent weather patterns. Must be them microclimbers we're always hearing about.

ps Clare says since I posted the pic of her butt nekkid, er, nekkid butt, I have to post this one she took of me while she was snaphappy this morning. Obviously, my fiercest look didn't phase her. Note the propane lites. Glad we don't have to use those very often anymore. They'd make it REALLY tough to see this compooterwhizzer. |
| That pic makes you look like Santa Claus relaxing... | CraigH Dec 31, 2001 1:46 PM | | after a rather busy day!
Happy Holidays!
Escaping work shortly I hope! |
| I know New Englanders that think Rhode Island really IS | Twilight Error® Dec 31, 2001 2:44 PM | | an island. To get into Westerly R.I. from Pawcatuck Ct, you've got to cross any one of three bridges. Well, when Tracy (from Vermont) noticed that I kept crossing bridges to get into town, she said "WOW! It really IS an Island!!!"... |
| ...the gun rack...tell me about em | clydsdal Dec 31, 2001 2:48 PM | | They look interesting. Tell me there's an old 45-70 Gov't in there. RT |
| Sorry, no .45/70s | AK Ken Dec 31, 2001 8:52 PM | | The only .45 caliber rifle I've got is a .458 Win Mag. Are you into those old trapdoor Springfields, or something more modern? You can hotrod the .45/70 to near .458 levels in a strong action like a Ruger #1 single shot.
