Watch out for the meteorites!

Make sure you know how to ride stunts!

Or at least know how to fall off them properly.

To be fair though, Lee and Sharon do know how to ride stunts!

Oh, and yes there were some normal trails

Fernie is a wonderful place to ride. Thanks for the post, it brings back many memories of my Weekend at Fernie!

Athol, of course!

Had no idea why you and the boys had such a chuckle about that, until Spike and I drove through there on the way back from Bend this past summer.

A bunch of buddies of mine and I did their best of BC singletrack tour summer before last- really incredible. We rode Fernie, Nelson, Rossland and others, incredible trails, very technical, super professional, incredibly good food, amazing riders. On top of it all the trip was really cheap! I can't say enough praise for those guys- we are planning a repeat later this summer. We all were (and are) strong riders with quite a bit of racing experience- have ridden most of the "standard" meccas and the riding in BC is still the fave. We thought about just doing our own trip, but we did the math and it was cheaper to do their tour.

I have a trip report w/ photos here:

I love this line:

"I liken my first attempt at riding an expert trail here to my first windsurfing experience at Weddell Creek on slalom gear -- humbling, frightening yet addictive". That's from Mark's writeup. Having broken tons of stuff in Pistol River I can totally relate. Make it up to North Van next time won't you?
hey thanks! it was a fun trip [nm]reed

I don't think it would take much to get me to relocate a bit west to the best little town in the world (imho). I particularly like that airport picture of all the injuries. That many cuts, scrapes and bruises = evidence that everyone had a great time.

K (maybe see you up in Fernie this summer)
thanks for the replies.....nmcrash marvin
