Post-ride Braindeadness. Anyone else suffer?cleatgrrl

Conversation between Jon and Sami, overheard in the car post-ride on Sunday:

Jon: Why does everyone like my DC "Taxation without Representation" license plate?

Sami: Because it's so irreverant

Jon: I pay more taxes in DC than in CA, and CA is a much bigger state

Sami: DC is not a state. We don't have a representative in Congress

Jon: So who do I write to?

Sami: Eleanor Holmes Norton, but she doesn't have a vote

J: So DC is like the National bitch? I've never been anyone's bitch on that level before.

S: You can be my bitch.

J: No, you should be my bitch.

S: I AM your bitch.

J: No, if you were my bitch, you'd do everything I say.

S: I do do everything you say. When do I not do what you say?

J: If you were my bitch, you would have gone riding with me yesterday instead of with those mtbr guys. That was very unbitchlike of you.

S: Actually that was pretty bitchlike, wasn't it?

(My new boyfriend is funny, isn't he?)
How should one respond to that?Bikebreath

Hey, it brought you out of hiding. We were riding Sunday in Ellicott city, our first ride there, it was fun. I didn't know there was such a cute little town there, and we hit the brew pub afterward.

Can tell you I'm glad not to be a bal'mer bitch today. What's up with the dangerous block parties you guys have up there?

You should stop in and see Jon at Hudson trail outfitters in Tenlytown. He's always looking for people to play with.
Say.... do you know Matt or Zack?Rocket Boy

Matt and Zack I think both work there. I just moved here from Boston, but I've ridden with Matt and Zack on the north shore stuff. They're on my site in the video section. Cool to meet you! I'll swing in sometime :

Is this post by cleatgrrl, or still Jon at home?

If the latter, then it takes it to a whole different level of bitchiness. :o)

It wasn't the taxes, it wasn't the outrageous closing costs on real estate, it wasn't the Beltway road rage, it wasn't the "It's the Ice Age!" mentality whenever a half-inch of snow falls, and it wasn't even the repeated reelection of Marion Barry the Crack-smoking Mayor......

It was the Logic of Federal Government Employees...the mother of all oxymorons.

Please, I hope Jon comes to Davis with you Sami, I need to show some poor ignorant Midwestern folks that I'm actually not kidding when I say that living inside the Beltway is really quite similar to living inside of a black hole...all rules of logic and common sense simply cease to exist.

I just listened to my coworker give THE most babble-laden presentation to prepare for a conference that I get to go to tomorrow to hear more babble. Yesterday was also conference babble day(see it on our website: ausa.org under RAMP). The only difference between theirs and mine and Jon's is ours is funny.
