Jan 31, 2002 7:56 AM | | i'm looking to recreate the decal for my old klein. does anyone one have one of these bikes (red white blue fade) the decal is an eagle with a flag draped over it. im looking to find a pic of the decal close up so that i can try to restore the look of the bike as i convert the old girl to single speed. i talked to klein... they couldn't help... actually they claimed to be forwarding on my request to gary ;) |

My beater/bar/slushy commuter bike is a 1990 Rascal and seem identical to the top gun(other than paint and decals), but it's unfortunately been powder coated chrome so it looks like a piece of crap and won't get stolen. Maybe try Gary Klein at his Chehalis WA office. I can dig up the # for you if you need it.
That bike is so rare that the only time I saw one was in a shop I use to work at back in New Jersey (Marty's Reliable Cycle...might be worth calling Mark as a last chance, as they are/were a large Klein dealer.)
The top gun is a sweet bike...did you get the mission control bar/stem combo painted to match? |

nope, no mission control bars (that would be sweet... now you got me thinking...)
the only stock thing left on that bike is the sealed bottom bracket and the seat post.
