Flow Riders at the Seattle Bike Expo(2 posts)

Flow Riders at the Seattle Bike ExpoDamienC

I managed to catch the first Flow Riders show at the Seattle Bike Expo last weekend. It was quite a novelty to see them ride in person as opposed to Windows Media Player. Although their ability to ride the skinny lines (above hard, flat concrete no less) and land big hucks are sights to be seen, I was more impressed by their general bike handling skills. Like how Super T made it look easy to bunny hop a 40+ lb. Ellsworth Dare.

Sorry about the crappy pics. I turned my flash off so as to not pop the riders in the eyes with a bright light when they were on the stunts.

Dangerous Dan trying to fire up the (mostly dead) crowd

Other highlights of the bike expo:

Ironically spend more time talking to Subaru rep. about the Outback than to any of the bike exhibitors.

Colnagos have beautiful paint jobs.

Met LittleB for the first time and was supposed to hook up with GTRider et al. for post-expo urban ride but missed them at the show. What happened to you guys?

We were there, but GT didn't mention you....rotr no more

We arrived about 11-12, and left at about 3. James didn't mention meeting anyone. Too bad.

We rode around the Needle, and worked our way downtown, did the stairs at Pier 66, and worked our way back up to the space needle. A great day, good weather, great riding folks.

Too bad we couldn't hook up.
