Ken,

Myself and a friend are heading North the first week of July. I've seen your post but I never payed particular attention to where exactly you live. As I recall Alaska is pretty big, right? We will be heading to the Island of Kodiak to visit my brother in the Coast Guard. Are you even remotely close to Kodiak? Maybe we can ride.

I got your e-mail. I'll be working the 12th and 13th, but off the 14th, if you and your wife would be interested in a ride or hike. I'll send more via e-mail when I get Outlook working again.

And for your selfless help, here's a photo of your very own!

Are you into contour maps of this kind of country, or just road/town stuff?

Ken
Thanks Ken for...............Mike T.

.....my own personal pic. I'll save that one too. It's a byooot.

I'm into any kinda map you can imagine. I'm a mapaholic, a mapmaniac, a kartographical kleptomaniac, an atlas assembler. Topo maps are the most interesting but even a gas station road map sets my head swimming.
You realize you can't drive to Kodiak, right?AK Ken

It's strictly a fly or float access situation, so don't expect to drive up and surprise your brother.

I've never been to Kodiak, but it appears to be pretty spectacular country with BIG bears.

If you get to Denali National Park, which is 240 miles north of Anchorage, lemme know!

Have a good trip.
