| new bike! | scrublover Mar 26, 2002 7:28 PM | | New-ish Curtlo. Now has a shorter 100mm WCS stem, and a rear American classic wheel to go with the front, and an XTR cassette. Waiting on a USE ti Alien post. The Ballistic clamp keeps slipping, and my seat keeps moving no matter how tight I crank it. Probably why I got the post so cheap... Half a dozen rides on it so far. Best handling, most comfortable bike I've ever had. After 14 years of cycling, my first custom frame, too. Comes in at 21.5 pounds. Way front heavy with the duke and the disk, but well worth it to me.

I haven't had a really long ride on it yet to tell if the ti post and curved stays make a difference in long term comfort. The powder coat isn't the best, but I wanted a great frame; not to spend a sh1tload of money on paint that is going to get chewed up anyhow. Frame-saver-ed it before building it up, too.
