Im looking for something with showers/bathrooms etc...as I will be there for a few days. Also if a reservation is required at the site, let me know
thanks for the help! |

There are some camp sites north of Flagstaff listed when you select the "Volcanic Highlands" area that are closest to the most popular Flagstaff area rides. However, I can't vouch for the setups.
Sedona area, in Oak Creek Canyon, with showers and toilets:

Sedona area, in Oak Creek canyon, no showers, but nicer atmosphere:

The popular trails are actually south of Sedona, in the Village of Oak Creek area, about 15 miles south of these camp sites, but the campsites are in an awesome setting. Non MTB tip: while up in Oak Creek Canyon, take a hike up the West Fork, or up the Sterling Pass trail. |
| The Chavez Crossing Campsite ... | NewMex Mar 27, 2002 3:41 PM | | just down 179 from Sedona is also very nice. No showers but bathrooms. Right on the creek and you can ride to a lot of the trails from there. We stayed there last year at Spring Fling and it was great. |
| Nice pic from Tucson | pedalAZ Mar 27, 2002 3:48 PM | | Nice action shot of you in the Star Pass rocks with no cleats! You're a good sport to go on the ride at such a disadvantage. I wish I had been able to score the 4 day pass to join in. Being local, it should have been easy, but for the vortex of work, wife, kids, etc. I had been hoping to link "handles" and faces, and enjoy the comraderie. Maybe Part 2 in May. |
