Mar 28, 2002 7:18 AM | | I stopped during a ride last night to add a little air to the RC. After bombing down this little chute, I looked at the shock and it was stuck near the bottomed-out position. While I was looking at it, going "WTF??," It came loose with a metalic "clank".
Now the lockout feature fails to make any difference in the shock.
The only thing I can figure is that while pumping air, I inadvertantly flipped or partially flipped the lockout lever, or it flipped to the locked position whilst going thru the chute.
Anyway...Can I fix it (how?), should I have a shop fix it, or do I have to send it in?

just in case you hit hard while in lock out.But the not so funny thing is that 3 other shocks from my shop were sent back at the same time for the same thing.I'm supposed to get it back today so we'll see.It seems they have a problem with the lock out not locking out.Other than the lock out not working everything elso seemed ok.I'd like to see what it looks like in there.Maybe the blow off valve blew off internaly. :-) Send it back.It should be under warranty.Good luck... |
