Helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

How's it go'n Eh?

It's a slow rainy Sunday, so I'm curious how the preparations for the third and most prime NW-NAG plans were progressing. Who's coming and who's just breathing hard? Do we have a beer sponsor and will the Rock Lake controversy be settled by the time we ride there.

The NAG III is going along smoothly. Here is what I know.

Fri Night Fish Fri may not be a go, only 4 people are interested (or only 4 have replied to me)

No beer sponsor. I dont think that it includes the group because there are the dark beer drinkers, the light beer drinkers, the Imports, the Domestics. Actually, I was not there last year, and this is my lame excuse because I did not know I was supposed to. I will go approach Titletown and Hinterland to see what they can do, they are my local breweries.

I have about 31 people on my list of attendees. I have reserved 4 campsites in the same general area as the first year. I may have to get more sites, but two of the ones I have are large. With the sites I have, and the amount of people, it is only going to cost about $3/night/person. While this is low, it will make the sites kinda packed, so I will most likely get two more.

I will be going up next weekend for trail recon. Will post more on trails then.

First, there are usually a few cancellations as the event nears. 10% is almost assured, 30% would shock me.

Second, the big campsite is not reservable (the main one the first year, we did not use it the second). If you plan on getting up there Thursday, you can probably grab a spot or two with ease.

Third, sponsorship is wrong, and i am totally against it for a NAG. However, for beer i will bend my principles.

.. that was my initial idea of NAG.

But like you said, when it comes to beer, who cares. I will see what I can snag us.

Dangit, include me on your email list, okay? Right now I think I'll still be in MN, so I'd be able to go. paulblankman@hotmail.com

I agree with hoo that you will get cancellations. I thought I was going to have about 30-35 last year, but ended up with closer to 20. No biggie, but just don't reserve too many campsites. 4 is probably fine for now, and as hoo said you can always snag one of the non-reservable ones if you (or someone else) gets up there on Thursday.

without Beer!

I was just kidding abooot a Beer Sponsor, but if you insist, I could fall off the wagon. It's been almost a week sinse my last beer. Beer, fresh cheese curds and fried walleye..........mmmmmmmmmm good.
