| Hey Elperro.... | 2melow Apr 22, 2002 6:40 AM | | Just saw your post way down below re: Saabs. You might want to check out Saabnet. http://www.saabnet.com/
If i'm not on mtbr, then i'm on saabnet. Lots of great info.
Also, consider looking at a pre-aero year saab...a 1991 or 1992. This was the closest car to an aero with the older styling, tuned suspension and big Garrett turbo. I've got a 1991 like the one below (but red) and it is sock other than an airbox mod and wastegate mod...and i'm getting 225 horsepower out of a car that cost me next to nothing to buy and hits 60 in less than 6 seconds. Saabs depreciate REALLLY fast, so if you don't mind driving one into the ground, then this is a great car and great bargain. A sleeper indeed..get a reprogrammed ECU, manual boost controller, free-flowing exhaust then 300hp is cake. Just watch out for the torque understeer :)
Oh yea, check out this website if you are thinking about getting a used 9000 turbo... http://quasimotors.gar.net/buying.htm

| 6.5s for me... | elperro Apr 22, 2002 8:00 AM | | I weigh alot. =^)
That is exactly what I am looking for. I don't mind driving cars into the ground. I just put 15k on my car in the last year. And it's an '89 with 162k. I just love it! I paid $1700, have put about $500 buckd into it, and has been really good to me.
Let's not bore the board with more of SAAB talk, I'l email ya.
Thanks for the links!
