| The Beauty and the Beast | Biking Viking Apr 22, 2002 3:39 PM | | Two machines, designed with the same purpose in mind and then maybe not.
At least the span of the arsenal is increasing. Next thing is to plug the hole between the roadbike and the monkey in the middle(not shown) with an CX bike. Monkey actually describes the climbing abilities of the YBB well. It took me one ride on the Id at Skeggs to understand that it climbs very well for what it is, but it ain't no lean, mean climbing machine. On the other hand, for bombing down Manzanita or Giant Salamander - whoa!
Gotta go - the kids have springbreak and I'm not working today or tomorrow. It's still 80 degrees outside and the pool is waiting.
See ya,

| What do you have against frames that fit? | James Burke Apr 23, 2002 7:54 AM | | My god, between the two seatposts and stems, there must be five feet of extension hanging off of those frames! Do you just like teeny frames, or is there something I'm missing here? |
| I like small frames. As long as my butt, hands and feet... | Biking Viking Apr 23, 2002 11:04 AM | | ...are in the correct position, the smaller frame is stiffer and handles better.
The Id isn't available in a bigger frame.
