A little Friday excursion(9 posts)

A little Friday excursionwg
May 17, 2002 3:39 PM
Took the day off and after the Enfamil vs. Cytomax incident (see prior post), I had a fun little Friday ride near home today. I like taking weekday rides. Fewer people on the trail and a better chance of seeing some of the local residents vs. the human interlopers.

Saw quail, garden snake, deer and fawns, Coyote and the best suprise was a Bobcat bouncing across the trail about 20ft away. Couldn't get the camera in gear quick enough for that one. Don't see too many of those.

Anyway here's a couple of trail shots. Nothing like the epic technical stuff many of you post but good for a nice scenic ride up some ridges. Still experimenting with the new digital camera. Very cool item.

That's some nice looking single track....KRob

Thanks for the pics. I like tecnical rocky stuff, but it's hard to beat sweet hardpacked, curvey, trails that wind through the trees. The locals are a nice bonus....especially the non-human types.

Where are you at? (no need to be too specific)

That's my kind of trail. Smooth and winding through trees. Just the type I see in my dreams or while meditating.

Very pretty. Thanks!

At least that's my guess. It looks to green to be South Bay cause everything is already brown here.

Always happy to hear about more mountain bikers with digital cameras! Make sure to support Mtbr by using PCPhotoREVIEW.com. Same company, same bank account. We need your support!

spot. Anything away from the tree cover is brown and dry.

I did my research for the camera at PCPhotoREVIEW.com. Looked at the Olympus 510 and almost bought one when the 520 came out.

Well, you're allowed to look at the other digital camera sites, just don't look too much :-)

Hope the site helped.
