Here's Charles from last weeks ride in AZ. These steps are much NTTL (Nastier Than They Look).

| I can best that | Jm May 19, 2002 9:11 AM | | BTW I had fun up at Georgetown yesterday, there are miles and miles of trails up there, even helped a MXer that broke his foot!
Anyhow, at seonda it is the scenery that does it for me, it is just breath-taking and awe-inspiring, but; it is not the best riding I have ever done, its fun riding around on some of the slick-rock, at sub-rock or whatever, but the actual single trail isn't the nicest or the nastiest ever, its fun but I got tired of looking for "really nasty" single track, I found some stunt-areas and fun drops, but overall the riding itself isn't the best in the world IMO.
Anyway, when that snow finally melts, I want to do the silver-lake loop, that will be a blast I think, I've been on some of the trails that are a part of the loop and had a blast, and the scenery up there doesn't kill ya either. |

| Bored? Read a book. | Howard Roark May 18, 2002 8:15 PM | | I'm starting to sound like my dad when I was a 4th grader.
Did you see Star Wars? Did it leave you aching for a story with some substance? I've got a better sci fi story for you. It's called Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card.

| Sedona pic. Derek not Charles | JJK May 18, 2002 10:45 PM | | Hey Finch that pic is of Derek from SoCal aka DaBreeze. I missed that ride on Fri. but i have ridden it 4 times in the last 6 months. BIG FUN on most of this trail. Here's a few pics of that same stair steps drop. Here's a pic of me on same trail. |
| Sedona pic. One more | JJK May 18, 2002 10:47 PM | | This pic is of my friend Steve last fall. |
| Rode that trail yesterday. | pedalAZ May 19, 2002 12:37 PM | | Those steps were too nasty for me; partway down and out of control. Maybe I'll finish 'em next time. There were couple of tech sections higher up with real exposure on the downslope side that also got the adrenaline flowing. |
| Does it have to be bike related? | Stine May 19, 2002 5:25 AM | | Couple pics from my trip to So Cal

Malibu
Malibu Pier
Early morning session
Giving it my best shot at SanO. LOL
Had to leave all too soon. I think I had been lucky on previous trips to have total sun. "What smog?" Relatives were always happy to hear I was coming because it meant beautiful weather while I was there.
This was my first trip there were I had seen any smog. It was pretty cloudy and poopy the whole 5 days.
Hopefully I'll have some biking photos to post next time. |

| Lahaina, Maui sunset | Harovore May 19, 2002 6:18 AM | | Was in Wailea, Maui for a week, returned on April 1st. Never wanted to come back, actually. The problem was the 'hood in which we stayed? Homes started at $900,000. I knew I should have stayed in law school! Nah. |
