Pics soon to follow once I get up off my lazy arse...

I caught up with the elusive Mr.&Mrs. Lau this weekend with a gaggle of other BC riders in Hood River. Tagging along with me were 2 other locals. We met up in HR to check on the status of Surveyor's Ridge. the report was... it's open, no snow, no blowdown, only had to walk a short section or 2... riiiggghhhttt...

So, after a short debate, Lee and 3 others decide to do the loop (33 miles with a gnarly climb). brodiegirl, myself, and 4 others went to go do the out and back ride. After about 2 miles of cycle/snow-cross (lots of blowdown and patches of snow), we headed out to the road to see if the trail up ahead was going to be good. Survey says... nope. The report from Lee's group later said that just a little furter up it cleared up and was OK.

We headed back towards town to ride the Woop-Dee-Do trail. It's a fun (shorter) loop with lots of ups and downs. The ups were punishing to the non-Canadians, and the downs were a blast. The grunt back out of the trail was heinous at best... but it builds character. Not even hearing little b's tiny voice call out... I looove the climb didn't help either.

Out on the second look to Puke Point... awesome view, well worth the climb (plus a fun DH to finish off the ride).

In the end... took a chainring in my calf, scraped up the left shin, and blew out a seal on my forks (Z-1 BAM). I feel like a mountainbiker again...

thanks for the ride guys! I'll get the pics up soon!
