Z3 Air for 6,000 Baht?(5 posts)

Z3 Air for 6,000 Baht?elperro

My bushings seem to be wearing out in my Z5 (air, i like it). It is a 2000 model I bought for $140 used. Kristian sent me his old arch when mine was deformed somehow. It is also my first "serious" shock and with a bushing change could still serve me well on my next project, a SS commuter.

On to my question. I have the opportunity to buy a new 2001 Z3 air for 6000 Baht (approx. $147.739968). I think it is a pretty good deal. The other option is to wait till I get back home, and get a 2000 X-Vert Air for $120 at Universal. Should I go for the Z3? I probably will, but I am one of those very indecisive types and would appreciate your input.

TIA,

If the 2000 X-vert has TPC+ I'd prefer it over the Z3. WAY more sophisticated damping and a lot more adjustments. Once in a while a 2001 OE pops out for sale at Jenson for less than $150. Good deals can be found on Ebay too. I was keen after one a couple of weeks ago but gave up because the 105mm travel would probably mess up the handling of the bike I'm planning to get too much, sticking to 80mm.

Good luck,

Gui

ps. I believe the 6th decimal place in your currency conversion is a 9 and not a 8, and that is a ripoff if you ask me ;')
