You won't find Lee/Sharon (and possibly CraigH). They'll be at the Canmore gathering. ;-)

hey, where is that in relation to waterton park?

Maybe we can go THERE instead of BC??????

(drive up through glacier/waterton into canada and on to gathering...)

Lemme know.
I'd recommend you come on up north.Kenny©

Waterton to Calgary is probably 3-5 hour drive depending upon whether you want to stop and smell the roses or just blast on through. From Canmore you could tour the Kootneys, hit the Okanagan (sp??) or go further north into (my favorite place on earth) Jasper to round out your trip. Or you could do like me and fly back to mosquitoe infested Saskatchewan for the rest of my holidays :(

So take care and we'll see you in August!

Yeah.....380KM (however far that is)Zonic Man

From Waterton to Banff National park.

Wow. I think we're going. Gotta talk to suzy. First gathering....in canada! I'll try to bring some swag.

About 220miles or so I figure?????

Wow.

then after the 12th we have to be back in california by the 17th-18th.

this could be really fun.

Suggestions on routes back would be nice!

jed
You want a quick way to Cali or scenic.

We drove to Oakland via Sandpoint ID, Spokane and then straight west into Portland a number of years ago (then down the coast). The drive from Spokane to Portland was interesting as the terrain sure changes quickly. We camped along many State Parks / railroad easement along the way too.

We can talk more when you are up here...I'm sure you'll get a lot of good suggestions from the gang.

That sounds good...(Give me more fodder for her to be convinced)Zonic Man

She said she doesn't want to ride the whole time, doesn't know anyone, blah blah blah...you know the deal. More info!

I like your idea down to the bay area.

How long do you think? (doing 8-10 hour stretches) down to oakland?
She doesn't have to ride the whole time, but......celly

why would you want to miss out? The riding in the Canmore area is awesome. If she wanted to play tourist for a day, world famous Banff National Park (and the town on Banff) is minutes away.

I didn't know anyone either at the first gathering I attended in '98. That was 10 gatherings ago. Never met anyone I didn't like at any gathering, except Pete, but you know how that is.

It'll be worth it. Trust me. We have a good crew slated to be there, except celly of course.
Plenty to do besides riding.....Gnarly1

You all will hate it -- or at least I'll hate being at work while you all are riding up there.

Besides you'd have to ride with skogan, that Celly character, and Spike.

You'd have to put up with boring scenery.

skogan's (the Canmore ring-leader) idea of a fun ride is hike-a-bike to the top, and then ride back down. Oh, wait, that is fun....

And you'll be forced to hang out at the Sherwood House & drink beers.

It's just NOT FAIR!!!!!! :-(
Yep, you will hate it....

I would much rather be back in Saskatchewan with the wife and kids sitting by a mosquitoe infested lake frying my boney a$$ off in the scorching sun. ;)

Sorry to tell you. So did Big Rock and the mountains are getting knocked down to make things even between Alberta and Saskatchewan. You picked a BAD time to come visit.
things will never be even between Alberta and Saskatchewan....Gnarly1
