Preliminary Tahoe Gathering shots.Finch Platte

As I didn't ride, but was only there to lend moral support (and to try & drink all the damn beer), there's not much action in these thar pics. But maybe they will whet your appetite until the

i real

pics are posted.

I took this shot at the bottom of Toad's while waiting for the group to show up. Eventually, they arrived, tired, but singing the praises of the famous ride. There were 26 riders on this ride- 23+ miles that they claimed seemed like 40.

Kudos to Steven (Big Boulder), getting this togethering together.

These boys broke camp this morning and headed back to Lala Land, but not before I shot this entirely unposed picture.

Some of you may remember "Starvin'" Marvin from the Bend Gathering last year. And you will also be happy to find that the ticket he receive from Officer Husky 'only' cost him $85 and traffic school. No points on his record, neither.

I understand he didn't go hungry on Toad's.

is about to be devoured by the large shark. The only thing that could possibly intervene is a knee swollen too large for the shark to swallow. Tune in next week....

Drivetrains in Europe, Japan and Australia are on the other side (i.e. the left) of the bike, and many Europeans just wrap the left stay as a matter of habit when they buy a bike in the US/Canada. I still wrap the left stay of my bike because of this....

Brakes in Europe are also set up reverse to what the US setup is too, it all gets very confusing.

I got too absorbed into the rides to take too many pictures, but here are a few mediocre shots. Others were a little more camera busy than myself so hopefully there will be some better stuff to follow.

Below, an unidentified rider manuevers up some single track on the Friday Spooner Summit ride.

Really like this photo. Does the wind perchance blow strongly from left to right in that pic, or is there some other explanation for those "banner" trees?
