I'm collecting links to the various Tahoe Gathering follow-up threads on The Official Tahoe Gathering Website.

Keep the pictures coming. My camera ended up stranded in BV's van on Saturday, and I spent more time heaving for breath than shooting photos the other days, but I have a few good one's I'll post; probably tomorrow.

Worst thing that happened: Finch didn't get to ride.

Runner up: wg's crash (hey, at least you got to ride)

Who we missed most: Francis

Runner up: Pete

Who's insane: BV and PaulJ

Runner up: fourarm crank

2nd runner up: ciclistagonzo for bringing a 36 lb bike on Saturday's epic

Most beer consumed at one time: FP

Runner up: BV

Most owed thanks by a group: Derek for bringing a water filter and Trolli Bright Crawlers

Most owed thanks by me: Parkmeister for hanging back and helping with my wacky derailler on Saturday

Runner up: Derek for the filter, and hanging back for the derailler thing too

Best waitress: Sunday at breakfast

Runner up: Kate at Chevy's in South Lake Friday night

Most improved rider: RollingBones ditched the slow group and caught up with the next group Saturday.

Best technical descent on a hardtail: Conflict of intrest prevents me from voting in this category.

What happened to: tiggerider, crashed, dr hoo and turtle?
I'm upset I didn't get 3rd runner up....Zonic Man

Cool chickee you've got there Zman. I'm totally jealous that you are going to Canmore. I still may try to swing it, but odds are low.

Filter chargederek
Jul 15, 2002 5:30 PM
I was going to charge everyone to use the filter but had second thoughs when I heard ciclistagonzo had already drunk 150 ounces of water by the lake. :-) I could have made good money!

Good riding with everyone and next time I'll bring the SS just for Eddy.

mtbturtle and I were there, but we decided to stalk you.dr hoo
Jul 16, 2002 5:08 AM
That's why you didn't see us! You made it easy for us since you started one of your rides by our condo, so I hardly even had to get out of bed.

Actually, if we had done our normal amount of riding this year (and we haven't) we probably could have survived *one* of the rides on the schedule. So we decided to poke around and explore some new stuff with map and compass in hand (we've ridden all the trails scheduled on for the gathering a few times--just not in the way you all did!). Basically, we left Tahoe as you all started riding. While we normally take 3 weeks for mtbing in the west each year, and considered extending our stay before hearing about the rides, we cut a week out this year because of other obligations.

Looks like you all had a good time though!

FP you're a JERK OFF!Roger
Jul 16, 2002 6:28 AM
If you were without bike, why didn't you call me? You know I have a Ventana El fuego with disc brakes etc. sitting in the garage not being used. Ya dummy, you could've ridden an FS bike that wouldn't break!
Got the bike....Finch Platte

...I'm missing one functioning knee.

Thanks anyhoo.

fp (still a jerk-off)
