| So I traded in my mini van | trav Aug 8, 2002 7:05 PM | | After years of faithful service I got rid of my Dodge Grand Caravan. I just got a 2002 Ram 1500 and a Trailmanor for the long biking weekends. Here is a pic of us camping at tower rock campgrounds outside of Mt St helens. I'll be camping in Downieville this weekend so if you see me stop in and say hi. |

So today is my first day in "my" new mini van. So far so good.
I did take out one of the back seats last night just to make sure my bike, (no rack yet) would fit in before we traded. |

My wife will be getting a new rig sometime in the next few months and I'm thinking about keeping her van for bike hauling, camping and a spare car for when my heap breaks down. I've taken out the two rows of passenger seats and put a cot in the back for camping. Plenty of room for three bikes and very roomy for camping (not at the same time). It actually works out pretty darn good.
Another bonus is I wont have to disassemble my bike and put in my little trunk when I take it uptown for riding after work. |
