Aug 9, 2002 6:54 AM | | Boulder City is incredible! There are some cross country trails there, but it's the DH runs that really shine! I like climbing the road to the DH start platform and then choosing my run accordingly, so as to make a loop of each trip. Fun, fun, fun!
Try Escape Adventures in Vegas. Ask for Jared, the owner. Very nice guy and amazing rider who enjoys doing trials and epic, all-day rides on a Super 8. Escape's number is (800) 596-2953. Also, from what I understand, that are always quite a few people at Boulder City in the early mornings on weekends. Might be a fun hook up.
Naturally, early morning will be best for riding given the heat. Red Rock has some evening shade, but from what I've heard, Boulder City stays quite hot through late afternoon up until sunset.
