you are planning on hitting Death Valley, mid-Late August?? BIG mistake, especially if you plan on biking....absolute Hottest place on earth that time of year.
Yosemite should be nice, al-beit very crowded..

Aug 11, 2002 10:09 AM | | First, Yosemite & Death Valley are National Parks, and their is no off road riding inside their boundries, that said, there is great riding pretty close to both.
Mammoth Mountain would be a great spot to ride (host to World Cups & NORBA Nationals, home of the "Kamakazi" DH). It's between Yosemite and Death Valley, about 1.5 hours from Mammoth. Then head to Death Valley.
In between Las Vegas & Los Angeles, you can head to Big Bear. |
