Question for Ebay Sellers(4 posts)

Question for Ebay SellersSnowman
Aug 10, 2002 11:11 AM
I am interested in selling a Bike frame on Ebay, but I am nervous about the amount of personal info they are asking for (Credit Card #, bank account# & house mortgage info). Are the as secure as they claim. Do you all feel safe using them? Thanks
I can't say I ever had to give them any of that information.berrywise

I have been a member for a few years now but that seems wierd you would have to give them that information. I'd read the fine print to see if that is just extra info. they want or if it is mandatory. Obviously not everyone who uses the site is a home owner, or even has a bank account or credit cards.

The only thing I gave was a cc# and a bank account#,the bank account for billing reasons.I've ran over a hundred auctions,I love it.It beats letting your old bike stuff lay around.

Read the release if your skeptic. Also when you list your frame dont declare a reserve. Set your minimum bid @ the least amount your willing to sell for. If you do set a reserve, youll get a lot of e-mail asking what the reserve is.
