Marzocchi vs. FOX(2 posts)

Marzocchi vs. FOXWhats_Real

Ok folks,

My new Santa Cruz Bullit came in with the 5th Element. I've been looking at putting a Marzocchi Freeride on it. But I can get a really good deal on a Dirt Jumper 1. At the same time I can pick up a Fox Vanilla for a good bargin also. I do alot of street riding and jumps. Mostly what most people would consider freeriding. I weigh about 185 . Any advice would be nice.
unless you can afford the Z1 FR or the Super TJm

go with the Fox, reason being the fox has a real cartridge damper that will work at high and low speed effectively, if you buy one of the low-end marzocchis like the DJ or Jr T, it will not work great at anything other than low speed, the high end marzocchis of course don't have this problem and are good, but the Fox offers better preformance than the same-priced marzocchi fork.
