Sunday's Ride(36 posts)

Sunday's Ridefront range migz
Oct 7, 2002 7:28 AM
Went for a ride Near Estes on Sunday. Here's a a pic of initial fireroad climb. I thought I learned the art of one-handed wheelie on this road, but I was to later learn after a wheelie to advanced back-plant that I need to try and keep rear brake hand on the bars. Fortunately I don't have a pic of that move:)

You bikers that live near mountains......jeff kammerer

are LUCKY, around N.Ill. I have to travel 1:30 from my home to get to BIG HILLS, NOT Mountains! I suppose I shouldn't gripe too much, after all I could be stuck in central Kansas were there aren't even hills to ride on! Anyway, I am glad that southwest Wisconsin has some respectable sized hills to play on, but nothing near as technical as those pictures are showing! Count your self fortunate to live near those wonderful mountains!
AWESOME ride Miguel! You-da-man for some of the BEST...daveM

Yesterday I kept hearing "This looks just like a Migz trail" while riding down some of my favorite sections from Dave and Jim. Too bad you weren't able to join us.

Thanks for sharing the pictures!

Wish I could've gotten down there to ride w/ you guys, but I ended up having to work . Dave and Jim keep telling me stories of how cool the terrain is, so hopefully I can meet up w/ you sometime for a ride down there. If you can make it up here, I'm sure I can dream up some sort of down hill oriented route. Mig

dy-no-MITE! Seems like you got in a sweet epic! And I only got in the BEST weekend of riding my whole summer!

Hey, I'm always down for a high-tech ride, maybe you won't drop me a fast as you would on a XC trail like Hall. There's a pretty tough downhill run 2 1/2 miles from my back door! (with just a leeee-tle hike back up) Hurry up though, we got a couple of inches of snow last week, but it's gone for the moment.

I called his house to see if he could ride, and I think I could actually hearr his eyes batting as he gave his wife his puppy dog- can I please go for a ride look. I need to practice that. Anyhow, if you can break out for a ride between 11-2 anytime this week let me know. I'll be riding single at devils backbone. Also, I'ld stil like to get a copy of that photo edit s.w. from you if I can. Late, Miguel
What's your connection speed there?Kitchenware

I have some sw that I could send you if you have some sort of broadband.

I should be free most of the day tomorrow, but I have to set aside some time in the afternoon for some filming. I'm hoping to get some video up of a local trail (no particular one) asap.

I was talking to Miguel on the phone, trying to force the words " I'm not riding today" out of my mouth, when she said " Oh, go ahead and go". Wooo hooo! If that ain't true love, I don't know what is! Whata woman!

You're gonna love that trail Jim, and guess what? It starts off with a leee-tle climb... but its like Mountain Lion on steroids!
Thanks for sharing the fun Miguellidarman
