I represent the Asian Development Bank here. We finance development projects with grants and very low interest loans to government. Right now we are building a road to China, renovating 60 secondary schools, helping privatize the national airline and some banks, that sort of stuff. My dad always said I should figure out where I would like to go on holiday, and then find a job there. Thanks dad!

Nice pics, even at the low rez. Mongolia must be one of those "last unspoiled places"....

Ah, the good life. The adventure of culture and exploration are truely special. Its nice to see someone living the life.

I really miss plying the Sinai wilderness and other parts of Egypt, where I lived for 9 years, on my MTB and living amongst the Bedouin. Almost every weekend we would explore a new area on MTB's traveling the natural landscape or via ancient camel/goat trails to just about any place we desired. And when we were not doing that we were scuba diving in the Red Sea. I long for the freedom and spirit of adventure of that life.

My best friend is working in Aqaba Jordan and doing the kind of exploring you describe, plus some scuba. He loves it but says they don't make a camelbak big enough for the heat.

I hope you get back overseas and live the life again, I think I am addicted. Especially now that GWB seems so intent on another war.
