Oct 8, 2002 9:00 AM | | I will be in town for the Notre Dame vs. Air Force game. I am trying to get a room at the Wyndham Hotel, but it looks like they are completely booked. What hotels are close to the Wyndham and what bars are within stagering distance? |

Oct 8, 2002 9:12 AM | | Right across the street from the Wyndham is a Bradford Suites, but there aren't really any bars around there (other than possibly at the Wyndham). There are lots of hotels on Garden of the Gods, which is one exit south of the Wyndham, but again, there aren't any bars there--just tourist restaurants.
If you want to stay somewhere within walking distance of good bars, the only thing I can think of is the Adam's Mark which has it's own brewery, is right across the street from the town's best brewpub and is within walking distance of lots of other good bars.
The Springs is filled with liquor stores and very few bars, which I think says a lot about the average resident... |
