Rockville roll-call.....who's coming??????(25 posts)

Rockville roll-call.....who's coming??????Zonic Man
Nov 8, 2002 11:49 AM
Sunday, 9-9:30 in the lower lot.

Look for a blonde norseman in lycra, a guy on an Uzzi DH with his saddle almost as high as pete's and a fat dego on a steel hardtail.

And if FP shows, there will be a skinny guy on a wreckyll w/ a picture of Rebecca Romjin-Stamos taped to his bars.

Who is the blonde Norseman?Biking Viking

I look forward to meeting a fellow countryman.

My seat is higher than Pete's.

BV (Tall and dark)
Duh, you're all blonde.Zonic Man

Just like all canadians live in igloos.

And your seat is NOT taller than pete's. He's all legs...if it weren't for the kids i'd think he'd have had one of them operation thingies.
All legs - yup that's pretty much me, too.Biking Viking

Jed,

How's the Weirwolf in the mud/wet?

I've got a set of 2.4 Motorraptors as "spares" are they better in mud/wet?

Thanks.

-Aaron
Motoraptor 2.4 sucks in the wet. IMHOZonic Man

you wan't some tires that are good on wetJm
Nov 8, 2002 3:47 PM
because I rode there one year with tires that sucked in wet(tioga DHs) and it was hell. I would slip and slide on all the rocks, espeically going uphill.

yup...grundy
Nov 8, 2002 12:33 PM
rockville is east of SF, maybe 35 miles east? just a guess there.

it holds up well in the wet - one of the few places around where you can ride in the winter and not worry too much about trail damage.

I tell more people to use Google but forget to use it myself? It's part of being a parent, do as I say, not as I do.

thanks kindly for the corrective action ;P Jim

I have wanted to check out Rockville for quite some time now. But I doubt that I can keep up with you guys. Perhaps I'll just show up to say hello. Maybe you can give me a few pointers. I'll have the grey Ellsworth Isis and the little white Honda Civic with big antennas on it.

I'll bring my armor, since a rock garden is lurking there... and with the recent rain, it will be slippery. Are Panaracer Fire XC pros a good tire to use? How about semislicks? Is it muddy?

I'm not going, but...Finch Platte

...I just said that so Pete wouldn't be afraid to show up.

Panaracers are fine for R-ville. That's what I used until I discovered the wonders of fat,

i fat

tires.

I'm not going eitherObi-John

Ugh. Dinner turned into a trip to San Francisco to see some friends. Not enough time to sleep before heading to Rockville. I'll have to go another time. Have fun!
