Any full face helmet owners use a motocross helmet for freeriding? I've been thinking of getting one for awhile now and my buddy just got this one for riding his motorcycle. Actually feels pretty light - how does it compare? Thanks for any advice...

you can grab a Bell FF from Cambria or wherever for ~$44 with vents, you'll need them it gets hot even with them. Or you can spend more on a ventless Motorhead Helmet. Jim

TRy before you buy. The Cove had Bells on sale and I could not even fit a large. Ended up getting a small Giro Mad Max II.

Jim's right though. Even with vents you'll still get hot.

had the mad max for 2 years, good helmet, but nearly passed out in ARIZONA in the heat. On the 'shore it's great mrost of the time still hot in summer though with all the armour we wear. I just ordered a Bellistic helmet from Cambria moments ago @ $44 USD, hope it fits, I'm a small mad max too. I've only tried one on it seemed OK, I just coulnd't find the heart to spend over $200

CAD on another one because I'm cheap. also got a new Switchblade for my wife at $99, they only have small Yellow, perfect for her.
