Any of you who know Arizona have any suggestions for trails to ride in Mid-April? We are planning a road trip.

Thanks,

Erik

Central Arizona, including Sedona and Prescott are gorgeous then, and it is still cool enough in Phoenix and Tucson. Flagstaff may be just a tad on the cool side, but rideable.

In the desert (Phoenix, Tucson, Sedona):

Summer: unrideable after 9 am, unless you're accustomed to it. Occasional rain.

Fall: Nice, some midday heat, some rain.

Winter: Nice all day, cool mornings, some rain (if we're lucky).

Spring: Nice all day.

In the mountains: (Flagstaff, Prescott, Payson, White Mountains):

Summer: Perfect. Rain almost every day in the White Mountains. Highs in the mid-80s, occasional low 90s.

Fall: Very nice. Cool/cold in the mornings.

Winter: Damned cold, some nice midafternoons. Possible snow/rain.

Spring: Nice but usually wet. Some cold days still.

Hope this helps,

Whole state is perfect in April, from stem to stern. You might get a little rain, you might get a few hot days, but you can ride anywhere in the state then.

You'll of course be needing a good book. Flip it open and pick a trail at random.

(Well of COURSE I was going to post a link -- jeez!)
