Jan 20, 2003 8:04 AM | | TEAM BIGFOOT presents the 12 HOURS OF HUMBOLDT, June 28, 8am to 8pm, The 7.75 mile course is in the Arcata Community Forest (right next to Humboldt State University), all under giant Coastal Redwoods. There's over 1000' of climbing per lap.
The main venue is in Redwood Park where teams can set up their pits/camps on the main lawn. The park & course are right in town with grocery stores & restaraunts just blocks away.
This event is a benefit for the Arcata Forest Fund in an effort to purchase 177 acres to add to the existing 650 acres.

BUT, you could be on a 2-rider team at the 12 Hours of Humboldt with the legendary Tinker Juarez. All you gotta do is enter the "Team Up With Tinker" raffle. It's $2 per ticket and the money goes to the Arcata Forest Fund to help purchace another 171 acres of forest land.
Along with getting to team up with the 5-time NORBA Champion, the winner gets hotel accomodations & a complete set of riding gear from Cannondale.
