Ellipticals- Yea or Nay? (nmtb)Schlubbe

Mrs McSchlubbe thinks we need an elliptical machine for these winter months.

I'm of the opinion that anything that gets yer heart rate up can't be bad, and having tried them briefly, they seem like a decent workout.

Anyone have opinions that differ or concur? why?

Who makes the good ones? any deals around?

I use at the gym, and it sure is great. Easy on the knees, has stride distance, heart monitor, speed, workout level, time settings.

Thoses things are great!!! My PT has me working out on one twice a week. If you stay in a partial squat, and keep your upper body from moving, you get a superb quad workout with no impact to deal with.
and I thought this was going to be about Biopace chanrings (nm)SoCalAl
