Jan 21, 2003 10:02 AM | | Too bad I didn't get my helmet cam up and running this summer. I do have some footage from attempt 1 (camera mounted to handlebar of rigid bike = rough footage, many dropouts, and broken playhead. Thank goodness for Tweeters great CS, fixed it for free.
About the contest...I could not find mention of it at NEMBA. Is it being run by outsiders/members as a para NEMBA function with the money going to NEMBA? Either way I'd like to do it. Now I just need to convince people to get out and ride in this artic weather we've been having. I'll have to think of something a bit more creative than the standard fare to make it interesting. Hmmmmm....
I just hope people don't get too crazy with off-trail stuff. It might be a good idea to remind people of this in the contest rules (at least for public land). Might not be too good for NEMBA's image if a video with people breaking the rules is tied in with NEMBA. Will anyone notice/care? Probably not, but it should be added to the rules to be consistent with NEMBA's message and purpose. |
