With the way the weather had been lately I hadn't been able to do anything after getting my new bike a couple of weeks ago. Finally on Monday I was able to.

We have a selection of long hills and steep short ones. I estimate I went about four miles. Of course I had to stop about three times. I was really out of breath. I was certainly glad I had the water bottle on the bike. I will be investing in a hydration system in the near future. Especially needed come summer time.

One thing I definitely need to do is get used to changing gears, which I am sure will come with time. The S-30 performed well with some issues with changing gears on the rear derauilller. I have the Rapidfire shifters and two or three times I had the chain coming off the inside ring. I am sure I need to do some adjusting on it, and will, but I will just pay more attention to the shifting until I can get a work stand.
