Official Maah Daah Hey dates Sept. 4-7Dijridoo

As described in the official thread at the top of the page - the dates for a Not-A-Gathering at the Maah Daah Hey in western ND are September 4-7. Please send me an email to be added to the mailing list. I will post a webpage ASAP. This is not an official gathering with sponsors and tons of locals providing barbeques, floor space, and shuttle rides. Since I live 7 hours from the place myself, this is a good old "do it yourself" weekend, with me and a few others who have been there providing the loose organization. I willtry to gather as much info on accomodations and such that I can.

Some general info:

I will camp in Medora, and expect that most will do the same. There are hotels in town, also.

I will try to have 2 ride levels each day.

Temps are generally between 35 and 50 at night, and from 60 to 80 during the day. The fall tends to be dry (the whole area is very dry anyway).

Terrain is up to around 1000 feet max vertical in any given spot. Trails are dry and dusty, with some catci, cow pies, and some horse traffic.

More later. Peace

Cool, you've already got my name, but I'll try to be there. Since I live in South Dakota the only thing that should hold me up is if I don't have a bike built by then. But I should be able to kill all these stinking bill real quick and have a rig together in a month or two, no worries.

I'll see if I can scare up some of the locals around here to come to. My dads out of the question right now, job is taking him places he'd rather not go. If I can get them to come, I'll probably come with a group of three to five guys.

happy trails...

Yes - one ride will include a short trailside memorial ceremony and toast with some White Russains (sort of an inside thing with us).

Mrs. Schlubb just mentioned this morning that she has to get her vacation requests in for this year by friday (seems kind of draconian, but when you work for a hospital...) and she wants to sit down and plan them out tonite. May I suggest the week of Labor Day?

Expect a Missoula contingent.
