| re: Yes, another new bike... | J05 Feb 20, 2003 8:09 PM | | This be the rig you were putting Avid's on? A serious disjustice don't you think? Putting such... regular brakes on a beautiful machine like that. |
| Agreed....he needs some new Hayes 8"ers! | Zonic Man Feb 20, 2003 8:31 PM | | Nice though, jim mah boy. |
| Nah... Magura's | J05 Feb 20, 2003 8:39 PM | | that'd make it pretty. |
| There are several components that do it injustice. (nm) | Kitchenware Feb 21, 2003 7:57 AM | | |

| Is that a 29er... | lidarman Feb 20, 2003 8:28 PM | | cuz the front rotor looks tiny compared to what you had? |
| This is the first frame I've had... | Kitchenware Feb 21, 2003 8:00 AM | | ...that I'm afraid to scratch. This color is absolutely amazing in natural light.
We can be the Fox Forx dorx. :) |
| Except for the Progressive Suspension 5th Element! NM | CraigH Feb 24, 2003 12:14 PM | | nm |

| very nice.. | kokothemonkey Feb 21, 2003 5:50 AM | | That is awesome! You are probably going to have to move now, none of the trails around here will be hard enough for you on that beast, Hall will look like it has pebbles instead of rocks rolling on that thing, let me know what rides you plan to break it in on!
~koko, yet to post pics of his ride he bought last July :(. |
| you suck!!!!!!! | namaSSte Feb 21, 2003 6:27 AM | | I jsut got a new bike but now I want another one. When my wife asks, I'm blaming it all on you and your new hottie. Great bike KW, have a blast! |
| Can i ask how much it weighs.... | Jrm Feb 21, 2003 7:15 AM | | i like the "trail" build.... |
| Yes, you can ask... | Kitchenware Feb 21, 2003 8:05 AM | | But I couldn't tell you. ;) Actually I have yet to get it on a scale, but I guestimate it to be in the 32 33 range with XC pedals, but I've been know to be wrong. I lost QUITE a bit of rotational weight and that anchor on the front so hopefully I can keep up with everyone a bit better now. :) |
| Thanks everyone! | Kitchenware Feb 21, 2003 8:27 AM | | I'm going to try and get out today and break her in. Here's a close up of that candy looking paint, almost makes you want to lick it. :) Looks like it's a two stage job, like maybe there's a silverish color under the brown. ??? |
| Very nice! ....... | Ventanarama Feb 21, 2003 9:09 AM | | Looks good Jim. Much prettier than the old one. Nice fork:)
Larry |
| Speaking of... | lidarman Feb 21, 2003 11:42 AM | | Renee saw that pic and wants that fork now...so when will that place that Jim bought his gonna get some more in???!!
--Rich (send me an email when they come) |
| That is one beautiful bike... | anon Feb 21, 2003 9:58 AM | | ...those pics are giving me bike envy. I love my hardtail, but a build like that makes me think my next bike just might be trail bike build in the relm of what you've done. |
| Sumnycebyke, eh? | JimC. Feb 21, 2003 11:17 AM | | damn, Jim that's sweet. I like the spec, are them stoppers Avid? I can't see!
Waiting to here if I can get a deal on new Super T today and 20mm front axle. Like I need to go bigger ;P
Jim |
| sweet | EricTheRed Feb 21, 2003 12:51 PM | | A new bike is a great way to make it snow =-) That is an amazing color, even better than the LasVegas Interbike pic. Is that gonna be the new urban bike for a while? -e |
| Hey! is that the new bar-end mounted HID cornering-lamp? | GirchyGirchy Feb 21, 2003 5:13 PM | | Great new ride, have fun with it! Now I can see why you don't want to go stripping that paint. Simply beautiful! That's a great detail picture, it really shows the paint well.
Would be even better if you'd round up some black zip-ties though ;)
Have fun! And get yerself some fenders to protect some of that purty paint!
Brian |
| SWEET! Though it's even purrrrteer in person!... | daveM Feb 21, 2003 8:14 PM | | Hey Jim, wanna try my 90mm/15 degree stem (yeah, I'd like to try a 70mm)
Bullit and Fox, that's a great combo (so what DOES the rootbeer paint taste like?) |
