| Two different questions | Doc Feb 21, 2003 7:35 AM | | What works good in sand for me is the biggest, fattest tire I can run on my wheels at about 25-30 PSI.
What works good in swampy conditions is a skinny knobby tire at high psi- I'm not sure you will find a swampy/sandy tire.
A good compromise might be a tire like the Hutchinson alligator or mosquito at regular pressure. |
| Are you running tubes or tubeless? | TwoWheelinTim Feb 21, 2003 9:19 AM | | I have a tire for sale that works GREAT in sandy conditions. It's a Continental Vertical Pro UST (tubeless). I'm running the tube version on two of my bikes. It floats over sand like no other tire I've ever used. I run it in combination with the Continental Survival Pro. It's a great combination. I origially bought the UST tire for my wife but she prefers the Panaracer Fire XC Pro for her style of riding.
