He has a new red Quad Cab, I'm not sure of the current bike rack set up.

I do know that on his previous truck, he used 2 fork mounts bolted onto a 2X6.

I use a 2X6 that I lay down flat, I put 2 bike tights in it and it works just fine. I usually run a strap from the tie downs in the bed around the back tires to hold it tight against the back of the cab.

I have a tacoma double cab. I made my own rack by taking off the two tie down loops from the front of the bed. then I took a piece of angle iron and cut and drilled it to span between the holes. Drilled and a couple of fork mounts, got longer bolts, and bolted it up to the holes. I also bought countersunk headed bolts so I could use the tie down loops. This method will only work on the doublecab because on the regular beds the tied down loops are angled in as opposed to flat. Hope this made sense.

Would post a pic but I don't have a digital camera.

I have a Tek-Style Tonneau cover so I needed a special rack to span the bed above the cover. Tek-Style also sold this rack kit that I put on but have since modified it with different trays and fork mounts. Basically, any brand's mounts will work as long as they fit on square tubes. I can get four bikes on and still have the entire bed available for other cr@p.

Why a rack on a truck???-nm-

A 2x6 with 4 bike tights. Drilled a hole through the wheel well, tacked a nut-cert on the bottom side, use a short, winged bolt to hold it in. The winged bolt makes for quick removal.

4th bike fits fine between the grey Saly and the green Santa Cruz

Another View. Be sure to stager the bike tights.

...seems like the cheapest, easiest alternative.
