Got these directions from the Mark Twain Natl. Forest website. I remember reading that the campground can be a "challenge" to find. Any issues following these? Alternate routes? Other stuff we might need to know heading there?
From Potosi, MO
take Hwy 8 west 16 miles;
turn north on Forest Road 2266. Go 4 miles;
make a left turn onto Forest Road 2265
and go 3 miles to blacktop Hwy W.
Turn right onto W and
it's about another mile further.
Thanks,
Steve |
|  Issues: Forest Road 2266 | Hollis Mar 24, 2003 6:09 AM | | I got to Potosi an night, and I Never Found Forest Road 2266.
The Super 8 in Potosi is very nice :o)
Maybe its easier to find in the daytime?
I ended up getting there the another way.
I dont remember exactly which route I took, but it involved
turning Left onto Hwy W just before I saw a flat bridge at Brazil Creek. My trip notes from last year are at home, I'll check them later.

| Thanks! | Steve-O Mar 24, 2003 6:54 AM | | If you have notes that would be great if you could post them. Depending on how much work I can get done at the job this week I'd be arriving mid-day Friday or (worst case scenario) Friday after dark. |
|  Directions | LakeRaven Mar 24, 2003 7:09 AM | | Take I-44 west out of St. Louis
Exit at Bourbon, MO and turn left at the top of the Ramp
Follow County N through the town of Bourbon and head toward Anthonies Mill
