Thanks-

Unless these storms warm up we're talkin' snow at the top, which elicits fond memories of the '95 race on the old course. May the grand old course rest in peace. I miss it. Too hard?? Phffft. It only got "too hard" a few years ago. The course never changed, the riders did.

Anyhow, others can tell you more, but the soil up there is pretty gravelly. I bet it drains well and holds up to the moisture well. Ought to be lots of fun. I bet some of those "creeks" are going good right now. Do you own a personal flotation device??

Come, suffer with the rest of us and have a blast. One big, long, 3,000 or so foot climb (steepest at the top), followed by a bunch of fun, fast descending or followed by a fast descent, another big climb, and the aforementioned fast descending if you're an expert.
Too early to tell on the rainRoger-----

there's a chance but it's blocked in by a day of Sun on each side, so who knows perhaps we get lucky.

Anyway, I emailed the promotors and Ron got back to me with the following:

Roger:

I rode the course yesterday. There was some snow, but it was really soft and wet and not a problem at all - even the spots where no one had ridden before. It will be pretty muddy though, and the temp on top will probably be in the 40's. Looks like we've got all the ingredients for an epic edition!
