My new Rockhound and Junior

I've been hankering for a steel hardtail for some time, since I used to have an old Steel Stumpjumper back in mid 90's, before they started making them out of their 'metal matrix' or whatever. So...this was supposed to be my project bike, or so I told my wife, that I would build up over the summer. Well, once I got going I had to have it done right away.

After one ride, I'm liking it. Even on South Mountain
LOL..."project bike" my @$$....JimC.

Nice ride CP!I envy you guys/ladies that can ride stuff like that on XC-ish trails in dry digs and sunshine.

Since you're flirting with death, if you find any answers to splain to your wife, call me; since mine was away I've gained new Super T fork and as of yesterday new Hope discs. Dang, coulda bought a whole new bike with that loot. Dunno how to splain this, coff ahem.

I'm going the same route you did as far as the steel hard tail. First things first. I have been looking for a frame. I had my eye on IF, but $1200 for a frame is pretty steep right now. I'm seriuosly checking out E-Bay now. Have a few that I'm thinking of getting serious on. Wish me luck!!!

Marin (I forget which model), Rocky Mountain Blizzard, Ionic Steelhead, and Jamis Dragon. I picked Gunnar cause you don't see them very often. Good luck!
