May 30, 2003 4:22 AM | | Come up to Humboldt to race the Bigfoot Classic. Hillclimb (free!) is Friday at 5pm. Cross-country is Saturday at 10am. Both are under the giant redwoods of the Arcata Community Forest, right next to Humboldt State U. The 8.25 mile course has over 1000' of climbing per lap.
Sunday's downhill is on our all new private course ten miles up the mountain from Arcata. It'll be open for practice to registered riders all day Saturday.
AND, it's all for a good cause...proceeds go to the Arcata Forest Fund's effort to purchase a 171-acre parcel destined to be even more multi-user trails!
