Ridin' in Moab w/HFly (more pics)whatever

Here are the rest of the pictures from our ride in Moab with local resident guide, HFly. For the first installment, see the link below.

We left off with Leel gracefully taking the drops without leaving any carnage behind! Are these sexy legs or what?! Leeeeee!

NewMex posted a valid point in response to the first post. Any ride with Leel that didn't result in some carnage of sorts must mean it wasn't really Leel, but an imposter! It was Leel alright, he broke his handlbars the last 1/2 hr of the ride. He was a bit upset about it, so I didn't take any photos out of respect for the man! He did ride back though with half a handlebar - it was impressive.

Sharon is rather jubilant that we've made it this far with Leel intact!

At this point we've made it up Amasa Back. Now for a way down that we'd never done before. (At this point we needed Pete to video the incredible riding skills of these two.) No photos do it justice.

Here HFly is showing us the lay of the land before we attempt a heinous descent.

See if you can pick out the path we took...just follow it straight down....

Mike waited patiently at the top as we plodded and picked our way through. I liked this shot as he sits waiting. (He knew he could clean it and didn't want our bodies in the way)

It was most impressive to watch him effortlessly descend what I thought no mortal could descend. HFly, of course, did his usual tricks, not a problem. He's so fast, it's hard to catch him on film. If you look close, you can see he's smiling:)

Leel was inspired!

HFly climbs as well as he descends.

Mike is so fun to watch.

Doing the switchback thing - I think only 1 person cleaned this one.

we were there a couple of days earlier and, and, and, I just could make myself do it. We've got video of me starting and then chickenin' out within about a foot. That slick dust just sceered me!

I think hfly has met more riders this spring than even he was ready for! We sure appreciate his guidance on our Tusher Canyon ride.

glad ya had fun!

I'm shocked you got to bring cameras!

Great shots, great ride. I liked that one.

on that not-so-secret singletrack descent off Amasa Back is quite high. There were a couple of spots I think I could've cleaned if I wasn't too skeerd of dying to even try them. Pretty low margin for error. Thanks for the great pics and mad probs to the awesome riders who cleaned the trail.
