May 30, 2003 12:04 PM | | Was JRA toward the end of a great solo ride on Saturday up in Prescott, AZ when I noticed something unusual on the trail. I turned around and went back to where I saw it and discovered a 2" tall dude wearing a green helmet, shades up on his forehead, and what looks almost like a pedal cleat on the bottom of his left shoe. It had to be my mojo, just waiting for me on the trail. My son, and expert in such matters, says he came from a Sonic Wacky Pack and is missing his skateboard and the other magnet for his right foot. I'm still seeing him as an expert BMX/Free Rider even if he cross trains on a skateboard.
MTB lore has it that a mojo found while riding has powerful juju. So, I've mounted him to the stem with a zip tie and ridden with him twice since. So far, so good. No crashes and I cleaned all the climbs.
This added weight goes against my strong weight weenie tendencies, but the mysterious forces at work here are just too much. |
