It's on... Palmer Park, Colorado Springs - Sunday (18 posts)
| It's on... Palmer Park, Colorado Springs - Sunday | Kitchenware May 30, 2003 11:38 AM | | For those of you who are driving, we're meeting at the trail bathrooms @ 9:15 - 9:30am. For those of you who want to carpool, we'll be leaving the Boulder Table Mesa McDonalds around 7:30ish. It's a flat pedal kinda ride, so leave your heart rate monitors at home and bring your XL testis. ;P

Have fun...
And T. E. actually has superb cust. service these days. The truth is no longer true, it's better, stronger, faster! My ego is stoked! I'll post all about it soon. I can't believe how accommidating they were with me!!!

| Right on! | Kitchenware May 30, 2003 11:55 AM | | I'm happy for ya, you were riding above/beyond it anyway. I'm glad they hooked ya up.
7:30 would be sleeping in for me. :) Kids -n- cats, man. |
| What happened? | J.S. May 30, 2003 12:06 PM | | What happened to your Truth? Is T.E. hooking you up with a new 2003/2004 frame? Please post pictures when you can.
I'm riding a 2003 Truth, only 2 months old... |
| Enjoy it.... | lidarman May 30, 2003 12:41 PM | | I had a 2001 truth and I seen a couple of changes that I had trouble with that seems to be corrected in your frame. One is a wider gap on the chainstay, preventing a dropped chain from jamming into the swingarm and cracking it. The other is a stress relieved Rocker arm pivot bracket. Mine cracked on the bottom of the weld just above the front derailleur hanger--a common defect for that year. The new design distributes the force more evenly on the seat tube.
I took the opportunity to move into an Id myself and they worked with me on that. A couple years ago T.E. seemed to have a reputation for terrible customer service on this board. That has changed; They were outstanding in that area: Friendly, fast, incredible.
I can't wait to heal up and ride that new bike.

| Thanks for the info | J.S. May 30, 2003 12:57 PM | | Thanks for the info. I did notice the larger chainring/swingarm gap for chainsucked links to squeeze through without damage. I didn't know about the other corrections until now.
I'm glad T.E.'s making a good effort to restore customer service quality. Let us know how the ID works out once you recover.
Here's a picture of my steed, dubbed "Darth Maul" by one of my riding buds:

| re: It's on... Palmer Park, Colorado Springs - Sunday | Seanmon May 30, 2003 1:20 PM | | Is that still a decent ride? When I lived there, they were building homes into the park. Between that and the hiker Nazis, I thought that Palmer Park would end up getting de-biked the way of Garden of the Gods... |
