| It's H30" x W40".... | RaveOn May 30, 2003 5:19 PM | | Depends on your front fork (travel) and how high your seatpost is. Those are the only 2 things that would cause an issue. If the bottom of your fork - to the top of your bar is < 30" and you can lower your seatpost, it certainly will fit. Given that, you could actually squeeze 3 bikes in there.
Of course you must only attempt this with a Cannondale ;-) (j/k). |
| I do, but usually just one laid flat w/seats down. -nm | Hollywood May 30, 2003 5:37 PM | | |
| yep. . . | Stick May 31, 2003 6:38 AM | | but, like Hollywood, I usually just put one in w/ the rear seats folded down flat. Bike fits easily that way, w/ room to spare and without removing the front wheel. Standing it up fork-mount style isn't really practical (for me anyway) because I don't use a quick release seat clamp and I don't want to bother with lowering or removing it then reinstalling, etc.
But really, the beauty of those wagons lies not only in the interior cargo room, but in the length of the roof. Why put one bike inside when you can put 4 (or 8!) outside?
posted that a year and a half ago. wagon is up to 205,000 mi and still running great. |

| W/ seat down 2 bikes fit in back of Passat Sedan. | Rev Bubba Jun 1, 2003 2:29 PM | | As long as I take the front wheels off the bikes, they can squeez in my trunk so I can not think of any reason you would have a problem with a wagon with the back seat down.
Why bother with the fork thing? Just lay the bike down. |
