here are some pics shot today on the Tahoe Rim Trail near Kingsbury, from the bench down to to Kingsbury will be rideable in 1 week-the Chinease Downhill is open and sandy as it usually is, though many trees are down at this time on the TRT. Toads, I will ride it next weekend but likely 2 weeks before the top is really doable. Star Lake and other high country areas should be rideable in 3 weeks. |

Jun 1, 2003 5:02 PM | | or we could ride somewhere in the southern half of the Tahoe Basin, only like an hour or so to south shore from here near Pollock Pines. I want to get up and do some of the good high country stuff this year, loved toads so more of the same would be good(gooder!). Went up to Kirkwood today to check out the snow around Silver Lake and Horse Canyon looks 2/3rds clear, but the top near 9K looks pretty heavily snowed in, as well as the ridge around the lake, maybe a few weeks like you say, definitely looks that way. Been mostly going to Auburn or some boot-leggin at Sly Park, but if you wanna do some fun stuff on the weekends let me know, im all about it. |
