Napa known for fine wine and snakes?(4 posts)

Napa known for fine wine and snakes?wg

Went up with a couple of friends to Skyline in Napa this morning.

Great weather, good conditions. Coming down Upper Skyline trail, I was hanging back a few yards behind the other two riders. A stick looked like it was brushed aside by the prior two riders.

Sticks don't curl up and get pissed. Grab some brakes and have a staring contest with a rather perturbed local blocking the trail.

Asked him/her? to say cheese and snapped some shots. Only got some noisy tail wagging for the effort. Sheesh whadda grump.

After a while I got a long stick and encouraged him off the trail.

Here's an obligatory view shot looking into Napa Valley.

I was about 15' away. I think he was trying to stare me down. Usually they cruise away after a bit but he had a major attitude. I think we disturbed a sunning session.
