Aug 4, 2003 11:13 AM | | So yesterday morning I was eating breakfast at the table, when all of the sudden "poof!" my gas fireplace spontaneously ignites [bike content: new road bike was parked in front of the fireplace]. Weird. I tried to shut it off with the switch but it wouldn't turn off. I ended up having to shut off the gas line.
This morning I was walking softly down the stairs, trying not to wake up anyone else. All of the sudden, "flicker" and my computer in the den down the hall goes off standby mode all by itself. Weird again. Maybe my walking down the stairs jarred the mouse enough to wake up the computer? Later, before anyone touched the mouse, I tried jumping up and down on the floor in front of the computer and I couldn't get it to wake up.
So is it time to sell the house and move? Anyone know a priest I could borrow? |

New road bike cuddled up in front of the fire while your trusty mtb steed is relegated to where? the basement? the garage? I think it's simply a case of a jealous girlfriend (so to speak). Go give that mtb a little love and I bet you'll see things go right back to normal. Whatever you do, don't put em in the same room unattended! You'll either get a catfight to end all or some inbred freak that some here call a cyclocross bike. |
